Community Giving
Being a responsible corporate citizen is of great importance at AFPG. As a company we will always strive to honor that commitment as a component of our corporate value to have caring and enduring relationships with others. This reaches beyond the work we do for our customers and our company, it extends into our communities.
This quarter we're happy to feature three endeavors by our Mutual Sprinklers team in Dallas-Fort Worth. The first involved the generous collection and donation of school supplies to The Samaritan Inn, a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people gain dignity and independence. Hats off to Brenda Rodriquez for spearheading those efforts!
Another exciting project for our Dallas team involved Habitat for Humanity. They installed automatic sprinkler systems in six houses between October and November. All materials for the project were donated and the team volunteered about 32-field labor man-hours and 12 hours of design time to complete it. Habitat does not usually mandate that sprinkler systems be installed in their homes but due to limited fire department access the city of Plano, Texas, required it.
Lastly, our Dallas-Fort Worth team also participated in an event was held for the residents of the local Ronald McDonald House. In a collaborative effort with Linbeck Construction, Dyna Ten Mech and all the other members of the Rose Dale Office building IPD Core Team, they had a bird house building and painting party, along with hot dogs, chips, drinks and Halloween Party favors for all the kids and adults who are staying in the Ronald McDonald house while their family members are undergoing treatment at Cooks Children's Hospital.
Thanks to Tim Walsh and his Dallas-Fort Worth team for so generously donating their time and talents to such worthy causes!
