Dan Windnagle, President and CEO
Dan began his career as a financial consultant to the real estate and construction industry. He eventually joined one of his large real estate developer customers and put together a national syndication network in the financial planning community to raise equity for their multi-family developments. Prior to joining AFPG, he served as the CFO of Tenet Physician Services, a $350 million division of Tenet HealthCare, where he directed the financial operations of an integrated network of over 1,000 physicians and 2,500 employees. Since joining AFPG in 2002, AFPG has grown from a $55 million dollar operation to today's $130 million. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Masters of Accounting, and a Masters of Business Administration, all from Ohio State University.
Ron O'Connor, CPA, CFO
Ron began his career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche. While in public accounting, he was responsible for audits and special projects in various industries including construction. He later served as controller and CFO at various companies located in the Southwest. He also has served as the lead accounting liaison for multiple initial public offerings (IPOs) and secondary offerings, including the $480 million IPO for ON Semiconductor, which, at the time, was the largest IPO in Arizona history. Prior to joining AFPG in 2004, he served as the CFO of Great Western Land and Recreation, a publicly traded real estate development company with operations in three states. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Steven Rians, Director of Operations (Southwest Region)
Steve has over 28 years of experience in the fire protection industry. He began his career as a design trainee at Culligan Fire Protection, Inc. in Peoria, Illinois in 1980. In 1982, he moved to Fire Security Systems, Inc., where he served in a variety of roles, ultimately serving as the company's branch manager in College Station, Texas. In 1993, He formed Standard Automatic Fire Enterprises, Inc. and led the company as president and CEO until its acquisition by AFPG in December 2001. Currently, he serves as Director of Operations for AFPG's Southwest Region. He has a Bachelors Degree in Technical Sciences and an Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Southern Illinois University. He is also a past President of the Texas Fire Sprinkler Contractors Association.
Tom entered the fire protection industry in 1984 after working as Project Engineer for Atari Corp. and Project Manager for Intel Corp. His first employer in the industry was Stop Fire, Inc., a premier residential and service contractor located in San Jose, CA. where he held the position of General Manager. In 1996, he founded AEGIS Fire Systems Technologies, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA, which was acquired by AFPG in January 2007. In addition to continuing as President of AEGIS, he also serves as the Director of Operations for AFPG's Western Region. He currently serves as a board member and committee member for several fire protection trade associations.
Betty Cooley, Controller
Betty became the Assistant Controller for Interface in 1988. In 1990, she was promoted to Controller for Interface and has served as the Controller for AFPG since its formation in 1999. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Louisiana and is a Certified Public Accountant.
